These new blocks are the result of a sizable project from our Research and Development division that is constantly dedicated to presenting the most innovative solutions on the market which are, at the same time, the most environmentally safe. Modulo® fulfils legal requirements but also satisfies the many doubts that users have regarding energy conservation and respect for the environment, and is an affordable, durable and eco-compatible solution: these are features that today, only hollow bricks are able to ensure. Modulo® bricks, with their horizontal hollows, are characterised by a geometrically correct modular structure purposely designed to confer a high level of thermal inertia, thanks to the increased mass of the surfaces having external contact, and a high level of thermal insulation, a consequence of improved distribution of the air chambers and the internal partitions. All 24 formats (with thicknesses from 3 to 39 cm) of the Modulo® line replicate this perfect configuration, guaranteeing the same performance for all wall thicknesses. The Modulo® line is completed by the availability of a revolutionary system that optimises thermal performance of mortar joints: a disjoint (or two disjoints for blocks at least 30 cm thick) has been built into the upper part of the blocks and a “T” joint-cut beam has been positioned there. This beam guides the placement of mortar perfectly, and causes a break that blocks the flow of heat within the walling.
